Effney Gardea is a Los Angeles-based Set Decorator who brings story-driven design, collaboration, and a love of world-building to every project she touches. With experience spanning feature films, television, commercials, and music videos, she is known for creating environments that feel lived-in, emotionally resonant, and rich with visual detail. Her work has earned a Telly Award and nominations from both the ADG and SDSA, and she has been part of acclaimed creative teams, including the Emmy-winning production of Grease Live! for Paramount TV.

Effney's career has taken her across the U.S. and internationally, allowing her to draw inspiration from diverse landscapes, cultures, and design traditions. She has a particular passion for period storytelling, where deep research and authenticity bring historical eras to life. Regardless of project scale or budget, she approaches each set with curiosity, craftsmanship, and a commitment to elevating the director's and production designer's vision.

Outside the art department, Effney fosters dogs, hikes local trails, volunteers, produces a networking event for industry peers, and can often be found unwinding at the dog beach with her pup.
